Awonuga hail Ogun electorate large turnout at ADC flag-off campaign

The Governorship Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Mr Biyi Otegbeye and his Deputy, Olatunde Awonuga have saluted the generality of the people of Ogun State for the overwhelming support demonstrated with the large turnout at the formal flag-off Governorship Campaign at the Ake Palace Ground in Abeokuta.

Speaking at the ADC flag campaign, Otegbeye said with the successful outing at the flag-off campaign, the electorate across the board has no doubt, showing the resolve to enthrone people with genuine leadership who are committed to bringing about positive change in all facets of governance in the Gateway State.

“ADC is ready to resuscitate the rescue mission abandoned by Prince Dapo Abiodun.”

Biyi Otegbeye and his Deputy Governorship Candidate, Olatunde Awonuga deeply appreciative of the love and huge presence of supporters across communities and platforms in the three Senatorial District of Ogun State.

“The ADC standard bearers in Ogun State remain immensely indebted to the leadership of the party, the traditional institutions and opinion leaders across Ogun State for the love and representations at the event.

“We recognized the encouragement, solidarity and open demonstration of support by the leadership of the labour unions, trade associations, market women, youth and student organisations and civil society including the most respected and cherished platforms of persons with disabilities (PWDs).

“We considered it utmost honour to be entrusted with the driving seat of the movement to restore honour, integrity and service to governance in Ogun State.

“The standard bearers and the entire ADC leadership pledge to translate the honour into dividends for the generality of the people and residents of Ogun State irrespective of sectional origins and political affiliations.

ADC recognised the enormous responsibility ahead as well as the sacrifices entailed in meeting the yearnings and expectations of the people of the Gateway State.

“It is therefore imperative to salute the courage of supporters and electorates across the three Senatorial District for defying intimidation as well as overt and subtitle threats of the hostile leadership of the government of the day.

“The ADC’s standard bearers wish to specifically and especially appreciate the tumultuous presence of the people of Ogun East Senatorial District comprising eminent sons and daughters of Ijebu who openly identified with their sons Biyi Otegbeye whose mother is from Ijebu and the Deputy Governorship Candidate, Olatunde Awonuga, an indigene of Ijebu community in Ogun Waterside Local Government Area.
