Barcelona Open Transfer Talks with Cesar Azpilicueta

Barcelona are set to open talks with Cesar Azpilicueta for a move to the La Liga during the next transfer window.

Transfer News expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news on his official Twitter account on Tuesday, January 25th, 2022. According to the tweet, Barcelona are looking to bring the Chelsea captain to Camp Nou as a free agent.

Azpilicueta is in the final six months of his contract and has not given any intention that he will renew his contract. However, the Blues are waiting for a response from the Spaniard as it concerns his future at the club.

The 32-year-old joined Chelsea from Marseille during the summer of 2012. He has won One Uefa Champions League title, Two Europa League titles amongst other major honours as a Chelsea player.
